Web Guy: What kind of bike are you riding?
Officer: I ride a cobalt blue and white 2006 Deluxe. Most folks recognize my bike due to the solo tour pack and more recently the 13" apes I added.
Web Guy: How long have you been a rider?
Officer: I started riding two-up with my husband in late 2003, but after a year and a long early-spring trip to Las Vegas I decided it was time to get my endorsement and ride my own.
Web Guy: How many miles do you average each year?
Officer: I really enjoy long trips, or at least trips that take you out overnight, so that adds up the miles. Most years I hit around 15,000.
Web Guy: How long have you been a hog member?
Officer: After Paul, my husband, got his bike we didn't join HOG for a year, but as we started to ride more we were interested in meeting others that ride. We joined NCHOG in Nov. 2004
Web Guy: What has been your favorite ride?
Officer: I still love rides that cover ground. During the summer of 2009 Paul, Tom & Gaye and I rode down through New Mexico across a section of beautiful sweeping roads, it was just one day of many but I still think about that section. If you're ever down there ride '64' from Chama into Taos. Then there's always the rides with NCHOG...those are great just because you're out with friends and having a great time.
Web Guy: Tell me a little about yourself?
Officer: I grew up as a farm girl in Oklahoma, riding horses. Wound up in Alaska for about 20 years, ran a dog team, while living in the 'bush'. Met Paul while I was out there. We lived in Hawaii for a few years where I managed an Avocado Farm. Finally we came to Washington in 1995. We have three daughters, all 24 years old. In 2007 Paul and I built our home in Anacortes....which meant I didn't get to ride much that year. |
